Privacy and data practices
Papa ʻOihana supports community job boards, employer teams, and job seekers. This notice describes the information the platform handles and the operational practices currently built into the service.
Information we handle
We process account and contact information, candidate profiles, résumés, job applications, saved searches, employer and board-team records, and security or audit events created when the service is used. Community boards and employers may provide their own public organization and job information.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate accounts, operate job boards, match people with opportunities, deliver requested notifications, review employers and listings, process applications, prevent abuse, and maintain an auditable service.
Who can access information
Application materials are available only to the candidate and authorized members of the relevant employer or board team. Service providers—including Cloudflare for hosting, storage, and email and Neon for the application database—process information to operate the platform. We do not publish private résumés or application documents.
Retention and deletion
Board-specific retention settings control abandoned drafts, unsuccessful hiring records, pending uploads, and account-deletion requests. Legal holds may temporarily suspend deletion. Required audit and security records may be retained or anonymized when an account is deleted.
Questions and requests
To ask about access, correction, deletion, or these practices, email onaepuni@kanaeokana.net. Do not send passwords, résumé files, or other sensitive documents by email.
